Why do you cling to blind faith?
What's your reason for clinging to your faith in the face of science? Or, more importantly, why would someone who depends on blind faith try to actualy hold an arguement with someone who believes in facts and science? There's DNA evidence and a fossile record to back up evolution. What do you have to back it up? And no, the faith in your heart does not count in a debate. If that's your answer, you automatically lose the arguement. Do you have any proof that god picked up some faery dust and said "Blam! Let there be light!"? What about the fact science can create life through cloning and invitrofertilization? Or is that just the work of the devil? o_0 I'd have no problem with "faith" if people would keep it to themselves, but since they always feel the need to look down on and judge those who actually THINK as wicked sinners, I feel that we who believe in facts (i.e. things that exist) have the right to judge you as crazy, self-delusional people trapped in denial? Fair, no?
"For more reason than you hold on to YOUR blind faith in evolution." These, friends, are the answers I'm talking about. Want me to explain why evolution is not blind faith? Fine… first, DNA tests reveal that we share over 99% of our DNA with chimpanzees. No, we didn't evolve FROM chimps, but a common ancestor. You can physically find these ancestors in the fossil record. Chimps and humans also share many physical and social characteristics. The physical features are obvious (to anyone who chooses to look), but so are the social. Chimps, like humans, participate in gang warfare (violence for the sake of violence), love, remorse, rape, dominant/submissive behaviors between peers and sexual partners (just like us, admit it), and are capable of being traumatized by certain events, just like us. We are both capable of contracting the same illnesses, including AIDs and herpes (you know… "God's" punishment for HUMANS for having sex out of wedlock).
These are all just a FEW of the examples of evolution and adaptation. Not including the finches of the galapagos islands (look it up if you're curious), a study which proved that over time members of the same species, when seperated and exposed to different environments, will slowly adapt and change, and given a long enough timespan, change species. Now I ask you… what is your arguement? You have no arguement without facts to back it up. I'm simply asking if anyone has any physical facts to change my mind. Anyone?
XxA&SXx – I can respect that answer.
"WE ARE NOT CRAZY, SELF-DELUSIONAL PEOPLE TRAPPED IN DENIAL!!!!!!" Gee… you sure showed me, 16 year old Mormon. Dunno why anyone would think you were crazy…… o_o
"No, not fair. There is evidence that God exists, you choose to overlook it. No there is not 100% proof , but there is not 100% proof that he does not exist either. So you are clinging to the same "blind faith" that you are criticizing Christians for. Am I wrong?" Yes, you are wrong, and highly biased due to your indoctrination. Evolution, while not explaining how life started, has proved life was not created in the blink of an eye. It evolves and adapts. Where is this evidence you speak of? I've already given mine. Evolution actualy has evidence and facts to back it up, your religion has none. Prove ME wrong if you can, and give evidence of god that can't be attributed to mental-defiency, coincidence, or a number of other scientifically debunked arguements. Otherwise, if you have no evidence you can bring to the table (that's not completely anecdotal), than yes, you are wrong and have lossed your arguement before you even began. Sorry.
it could be because God has provided us with proof of Himself because we believe in Him which makes it fact and not blind faith…this may come as a suprise but the facts your referring to came from GOD
